Our equine assisted therapy program would not be possible without the financial support of our community; HART’s community. Did you know that we provided equine therapy services to over 90 individuals with special needs in 2015-16?
When we began our 501c3 in April of 2015, we had 20 people on a waiting list and 3 therapy horses. Just 18 months later we serve over 70 clients per week and our barn has 10 therapy horses. We also receive 5-10 new applications each month.
In 2016 we added 2 new programs.
An equine assisted personal development program which focuses on psychotherapy. This program is ran by a licensed and certified mental health professional. We also added a veteran service program – Black Horse Project. Through the Black Horse Project, services are modified for veterans to participate in Hippotherapy, Adaptive Riding or the Personal Development.
Please donate today to help support the children, adults and veterans who wish to participate in HART’s equine assisted therapy. The continuation of our services depend on you.
