The 2nd Annual Fall Family Fair kicked off on September 25, 2016. The friend and fund raising event started out with a barbecue prepared by our friends from the Independence, Oregon Elks Lodge. Kids and adults alike enjoyed outdoor games and rides in a mini-horse horse drawn cart. A photo booth allowed guests to don costumes for photos with Sparky, Horses Adaptive Riding and Therapy’s mini horse, or pose with Breyer Horse Model Smokin’ Doubledutch. Attendees were able to decorate (and eat!) their own cookie, and munch on popcorn and snow cones!
Guests bid on a large variety of silent auction baskets and other items generously donated by friends, volunteers and board members of Horses Adaptive Riding and Therapy. This fun event also included a raffle for a coveted weekend trip to the Surfsand Resort in Cannon Beach.
The entertainment kicked off with a flag presentation by Geneva Boston, then adaptive riding and hippotherapy demonstrations featuring Sadie Mella-Wagner and Junior Albrecht.
The event raised funds for Horses Adaptive Riding and Therapy, and brought friends, new and old, to our beautiful farm. Thank you to the many performers, volunteers and guests who made this wonderful day possible!
